Originally advertised as a trio guitarist Allcock say’s Bennet was the group’s singer. Both Bennet and Allcock had been in The Concordes an earlier Lowestoft Beat band and Orvis with The Easi-Beats another local beat outfit.

Sadly, no pictures were taken, as far as I recall, says Allcock. Incidentally, I think we were the first, probably the only, band to play The Who's, Call Me Lightning" before it was released in the UK. I taped it from a John Peel radio show. he adds.

Formed around 1967, they were later seen playing as The Acid Set when they supported local group Kiss at The Royal Htl, Lwst in July 1968. Bye is later seen playing with The Jokers while Bennet and Allcock are next seen in Due East.

Hank spends a brief period in the band The Morrells between The Concordes and forming The Acid Test. Bennet moves on to join Akron Haze when The Acid Test folds although the band doesn't last long.
