AL COLLINS BAND, THE

Line-up unknown: This Sheringham, Nfk, based band were resident at The West Runton Pavilion, Crmr in the mid-fifties. First advertised as a ten-piece orchestra, they are a feature at the venue right through to the 1970s, although by this time were varying between a quartet and a quintet. A brief press mention in February 1957 praises their pianist Stan Jennings as a keyboard wizard (see The Stan Jennings Quartet). The article mentions that the band are in Norwich that month playing a charity concert at The Gala BR, for the N&N Society of Mentally Handicapped Children.
