"I started blotto as a pub band in the seventies after Chameleon folded.

The highlight of the bands career (lurching from pub to pub) was either the Alma Brewery Xmas gig where the whole second half was a self-written Australianised version of Cinderella. Chunderella, with Zip instead of Buttons & one particularly nauseating new character in the shape of Jack Smegma. Kevin played Jack and had to have his lines fed to him by Lee's sister Rachel because he didn’t have his reading glasses with him - Or - It would have to be Blotto MK1’s farewell-ish gig at the Graduate Centre. Kevin thought we would fall flat on our faces  at a large-ish venue with a young audience and refused to play. The gig went surprisingly well and the rest of us were really smug. Not sure why, as the applause was far better than the performance. Shortly after this I left for the USA and the story moves 15 years into the future when Blotto Mk2 formed. Trevor Smith still on drums till he emigrated to Thailand, Mick Fairclough on bass and guitar, Ivan carling on Guitar and bass and vocals. More uproarious noises played in pubs in the Cambridge area till it all ran out of steam." IC 2017
