Formed at Hillside School, Thorpe, in the summer of 1956 and seen advertised as Michael Aldridge & The Blue Stars. Kidd recalls this early skiffle band playing regularly at The Lewis Buckingham Club, Nch and The Morning Star PH, Nch but does not recall all the band members.

Platten adds, “I don’t remember all of those involved either but remember Rod and Pat because they went on to play in bigger bands.” Kidd and Barriskill would both become stalwarts on the Norwich beat scene in outfits such as The Big Beat Four, The Continentals and The Contours, to name a few.
