The Comets emerged from The Streamliners Skiffle Group in 1963. Originally a three piece formed at Sudbury Secondary Modern, they later add lead singer Tatum to become Brian & The Comets and finally enter the beat age adding Boreham on Bass. Watts said one of the bands highlights was appearing on Anglia Televisions, Junior Angle Club in February 1963. Phil Beevis who was to later cofound the Norwich Artists Agency once saw them performing in a pub and said “I thought they were great and felt everyone else needed to know they were great as well.” The band become The Baskervilles in mid 1966.
