This Sleaford based band went out as Dawn & The Dee Jays and were pictured in David Peatlings’ book Goin to The Dance about The Boston Gliderdrome. Their only release on RCA Victor Records contained two original tracks written by their guitarist Leeson, who had previously been touring French USAF bases with a group called The Pontiacs. Leeson says that the tracks were recorded at Lansdowne Studios in London and featured session guitarists ‘Big’ Jim Sullivan and Jimmy Page. He finished the decade with well-known Grantham band Gingerbread, who by 1969 were heard regularly on BBC Radio.
