Lifespan: The Disrupters were active for two separate periods. The first and formation period was 1980 to 1988 playing their final gig of that period at The Jacquard, Norwich on 4th December 1988. The band reform between 2007-2011. The band had 13 members in all with Steve Hansell aka Bangkok Steve being the only constant member. Steve was also the vocalist for the New York Scumhaters between 2003 and 2005.

The band release on their own Radical Change record label. The label was initially financed and distributed by Back Records although the band point out the label was very successful and soon paid for itself allowing the band full artistic control.

THE DAY THE COUNTRY DIED-Cherry Red 2007 featured track "Gas The Punx" plus some live footage edited into the main documentary. The Disrupters 3 feature DVD-Disrupters Visuals 2009 includes "Live At The Feeding Of The 5000", "Live At The Eddy" and "Anarchy, Peace And Chips digital remix"
