“Our band Orange were a four-piece working out of Ipswich around 1970. We were doing commercial pop, ballads and rock and roll. I loved all the songs about at that time. I had sung in the school choir, but this was my first band. Ivan had been in other bands, but l think it was also Terry’s first, l don't know about Eddy? We were a bunch of friends. Ivan was my boyfriend at the time, and he talked me into giving it a try. The group would practice anywhere we could find that was free or available, usually the backroom of The Rose & Crown Pub, the bowls pavilion or even a spare room round someone's house or flat. We played in various pubs in the area, Labour and Conservative clubs and did weddings. Band members later moved on, so we were probably only going for about 2 years under that name.” TF2023
