"I first got into the local music scene c1982/3 forming a band The Outside Edge, a four piece, myself on Bass, Andrew Jordan on guitar, Chris Ray on drums and vocalist Martin Elison. We practised a lot at the Sewell Barn Theatre, quite a hard, biting sound, a bit like the Bunnymen. I can remember recording four tracks at a basement studio in Gorleston I think, possibly with Richard Hammerton on the 8 track mixing desk? We played just one gig at The White Lion pub by the Cathedral (Now Wig & Pen), I have the EEN review cutting by Colin Cross somewhere, he did not like us!. We split shortly afterwards."
