Pete & Robert were performing as the Peter London Duo at the Washington 400 when they were joined by Harvey in March 1968. Harvey had just left Samson resident band The Alan Dennis Trio

To relieve the boredom the group would sometimes perform a more contemporary set outside of the venue under the pick-up name Snafu an RAF acronym for [Situation Normal All Fucked Up]

On the 11th June 1968 both Harvey & Pete appeared as guest performers with Snafu [more details required]
