"Possibly Peanuts was never a band as such, it was a couple of mates I knew locally Marc Allenby (Vocals) and Richard Blackburn (Guitar). I don't think we ever played live! I was a musician/composer and the only one with an 8 track recording set-up and a Yamaha DX7, which had that distinctive bass sound. They asked if I could help them out on a few songs. Marc and Richard then sent the demo off to Bill Wyman's A.I.M.S Project (1987) and we got chosen to record in the Rolling Stones mobile studio. Bill wasn't there on the day of our recording, it was just us, the engineer and producer, I think we recorded 3 songs. I had come up with one of the bass lines and the engineer at the session mentioned that it was that bass-line that caught Bill Wyman’s ear. I explained to him the story of how PP came about, it was all a bit embarrassing! I was only involved for the few weeks for the demo and then the recording. I went on to compose Jingles and TV themes, I haven’t seen Richard since but Marc came over from Dubai 2 years ago and we met up for a few beers. It was exciting to be recording in The Rolling Stones Mobile studio, I learnt a few things that day, so all in all it was a good experience and focused my attention to write and produce. Currently, I freelance for Global Media and more recently have been asked to do a couple of film scores, which are currently in production." ADB 29/09/2020
