The Rockin’ Roosters formed in November 1964. In June 1965 the group entered the Norwich Mercury Beat competition and played in round8 at The Gala. Just after the competition the band truncated their name to The Roosters. In [date required] Mike Robinson was replaced by long time friend of Roger Dack, Phil Drewry who said he had literally started playing through share boredom
