Formed under the name Four and One in 1964 the band soon became known as Some Other Guys. Lead singer Ivan Pearce said "It all started around the mid sixties beat period, we were into bands like The Stones, The Beatles and Manfred Mann, etc. I was best friends with Ian Foreman. I was suppose to learn to play guitar from Marty but we ended up drafting in other friends and i ended up as the main vocalist."

Ivan goes on to help form The Glass Wheel Showband.
