TEACH, THE

Line-up unknown: This group first comes to light in February 1967 when local DJ Dave Summers of DW Promotions along with other students attempt to revive the closed Bedford Cavern, a club run in the Cellar of the Bedford Arms PH, Norwich. The Teach are named as the resident band and said to comprise trainee teachers from the nearby Keswick College. The aim was to attract a heavy student contingent to the three nights a week venture but the evenings did not take off, although it did give the landlord the idea of letting bands use the club to run their own promotion nights.

Fan Club started by Sandra Davis of Little Plumstead who said in The Midland Beat magazine that membership was already up to 300
