After a six month divorce from The Young Ones Rick & Jeff Wilson once again joined forces and started putting together the Three Quarters. Ricky had spent his respite with the Spalding based Castaways, while Jeff had played with [band required]. Bass player Mick Lovett was admittedly poached from up and coming band The Argonauts

Dennis Scott had just finished a spell in Germany with The Escorts [need confirmation] but this had been cut short due to him contracting peritonitis. Ex Sabre Maurice Pegg had put down his guitar in favour of playing the keyboards also joined the band

By early 1965 the group were reduced to the classic combo of Guitar/Bass/Drums & Vocal. Bassist Peter Carter replaces Mick Lovett after The Sabres folded just prior to a planned fourth trip to Hamburg and Mo Pegg departs

In mid 1965 the band auditioned for Bee Gee’s manger Robert Stigwood down at London’s Marquee at which they recorded an old shadows tune All my sorrows, the track remained unfinished as they packed the group off to Germany before the Harmonys had been added

In September 1965 the group set off on what was to be the first of two trips to Germany. While in Germany the group impressed impresario Dieter Jurgens who despite being a bit of a ganglander helped push the band.

In early 1966 the group toured with the Spencer Davies group taking in The legendary Star & Top Ten clubs in Germany along the way, and attracting audiences in access of 6000 people at some of the concerts

On the groups return they split and within six months Rick had married
