Back in 1961 School leavers Barry Holden & Colin Bowley found themselves working as apprentices at Hannants garage in North Walsham, Barry as a panel beater & Colin as a mechanic. Both interested in music they began rehearsing with friends Ken & John at Colins parents

Early instruments included a hand made spanish guitar manufactured in kit form by Dereham company ‘Hobbies’ and put together by Barry’s father. John made do with a sturdy set of boxes. The Tremors played a brand of skiffle and early Rock’n’roll at the local village hall by late 1961 with a few personnel changes the band had progressed into the North Walsham beat band The Escorts
