"I was born in Penang, Malaysia, in February 1958, came to London at 6 months old and grew up in Willesden Green NW12. The family moved around a bit, including stints in Germany and Hong Kong, before settling in Ipswich. I lived in Ipswich from 1973 until 1985. Then, I moved to London and quit playing guitar. I moved to Cheltenham in 1994 and started playing guitar again in a local band and a guitar duo. In 2001 I moved to Gloucester and quit again until 2012, when I played a ska-based band for 3 years. Since then, I've been dormant, but I will start playing again after a 4-hour chat yesterday with Denis Brown the legendary Ipswich guitarist. I'm going to start practising." JD 13/02/2024
