Born in1949 met Steve Kerrison and John Rosbotham at Earlham boys school Norwich started player trumpet at school and found the drums after listening to John and Steve playing together after school. We became the Diamonds playing instrumentals (Shadows / Ventures etc and later one part of Mike and the Diamonds, subsequently Mr.Toad ...Raw...then Dusty.Later still, played with The Lew Day Band with wife Sandy from the Ay-tones,The Don Grimwood Band , with Calico ..JohnUrquhart's resident band at The Royal Hotel Norwich .This band moved as resident band at Sprowston Hall Hotel for 5 years and on the road following a short lay off.10 years doing Theartre work followed by joining Heather Wells and John Bartram to form BRIGHT SPARK.This band is still playing to date ,John Bartram since died 2 years ago and and the band line up now is Chris Mortimor (Ex Mr Toad) Heather Wells and Hannah Barker [Pete Allen 20/01/2015]
