CHAPEL IN THE PARK CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH

Not the original church that gave its name to the park but a later one. Opened in 1858 according to [The Norwich Knowledge] the church held its last service in date required. After a short spell of closure it was touted to become Norwich's first Arts Centre under The Norwich Arts Co-Op. Pressure was put on the council to repurpose the building and albeit rather reluctantly a trial period began in date required.

The church was demolished in 1972. Only the sunday school that was situated at the back of the church still stands and was bought by The Theatre Royal and was known as The Theatre Royal Studio. The studio was demolished and replaced with a new building in date required.
