FIRS STADIUM, THE - NORWICH SPEEDWAY

The Stadium opened in 1930 [unconfirmed] and closed 31st Oct 1964 being demolished on 11th May 1965.

The Archives interest here is that gigs would be performed in the Speedway Club House after most meetings which also included Stock car and Banger racing. It played host to many of the regions Jazz and Beat bands up until its closure in 1964.

Not to be confused with The Firs Public House which was situated across the road from the stadium.
