The pseudo-Tudor Hall was built in 1907. Rumours that it was once a mortuary could not be confirmed but it was a dancehall during the twenties and early thirties. In 1935 the lease was taken on by the Aylsham and St Faiths Rural District Council who performed weddings as part of its function remained offices until they outgrew the premises and moved out in 1969.

Empty for two years the venue was first brought back to life by Greek restaurateur Mr Lucas Apostole and opened as La Tudor Rosa on 6 July 1972; where among the décor of Elizabethan beams and wood panelling you could enjoy a meal and the music of resident band the Peter Fenn Quartet.

The venue soon changed its name to Crockers and introduced more live music to its roster. In May 1977 it became known as Toppers and boasted the new theme of music every night and that it was the only nightclub around to sell real ale. One advert at the time read: Motown Monday, Teddyboy Tuesday, Woodstock Wednesday, Funky Friday and Punk & New wave nights. It was a diverse selection! Maybe too diverse as in September 1978 less than sixteen months later, the venue changed name and music policy once again becoming The Tudor Hall. The less hectic live music schedule saw fewer local bands play the club but the introduction of well known national and international acts from both the comtemporary, retro and cabaret scenes, although live music did take a back seat to the popular nightspots DJ scene.

During the eighties and nineties the venue changed name two more times and kept up live band performances, however, its main bread and butter was a nightclub. As Peppermint Park in 1995, owner Mr Apostole put the club up for sale after being fined for overcrowding saying, “I’m far too old for the night club world”. He was 65 at the time. The building closed soon after. Today the Tudor Hall complex has been converted into flats.
