Lead Vocals: Rod Harvey

Guitar: Peter Pease

Guitar: Mick ??

Bass: Geoff Kerrison

Keys: Steve Grindrod

Drums: Graham Jarrett

It is a hard one to comprehend but it’s true, East Anglia’s very own Deep Purple conceived eight months before Lord, Paice and Blackmoore tag themselves with the same appellation. The front pairing of Pease and Harvey had spent their early beat days in Yarmouth outfit The Strangers, while Kerrison had been with Johns Court.

Pease laughs about the installation of Jarrett on drums, “It was out there that we were looking for a drummer and I received an anonymous phone call saying that we should check out this guy called Graham Jarrett playing with Norwich band The Limited Company. "He’s a great drummer," said the tip and looking for a new band. It later turned out to be Graham recommending himself.”

The group only lasted around six months on the coastal scene but did in that time back The Nice at The Wellington Club, Dham. Pease went on to form The Combined Achievement.
