The backbone of the band was the writing partnership of Cook and South who had moved to Norwich from [place required] in [date required]. Their first gig came about by sheer chance when a family member sent a demo recording they had made into the Radio Broadland band competition in 1994. The bands first performance was at the competitions final held at The Waterfront, Norwich on 4th August 1994 and consisted of Cook, South, Maxina on keyboards and a drum machine.
