The roots of this band go back to the resident trio at The Riverside Club, Exceter (later Tiffany's) in 1971. Taken on by Mecca the band and its evolving line up move to Tiffany's Bath in 1974 and Tiffany's Gloucester in 1976. David White arrives at the Samon & Hercules in 1977 and puts together a new line up of the band.

John Tuttle: Lee Vasey, John Tuttle, Simon West, Peter Phipps, Dave White, Polly Grey and Terri Terrell. Note that the guys had more make up on than the girls. Samson & Hercules resident band as White Magic. Good memories and a great line up of people on and off stage.
Mick Betts: I think Dave White is still resident band at Pontins at Pakefield,with Pete Phipps or Phil Brooks on bass,Jackie Dempsey on vocals.
Maria Sutherland: White Magic are still at Warners Corton (not Pontins) I was with Peter and Simon at Steve Stiles's party the other Saturday night; all well and playing a bit ... the UK Beach Boys made an appearance which was fantastic ... Jackie doesn't sing with White Magic…
